Catherine Le Baron has an eclectic artistic background. After attending the “Escola das Artes” in Brasil, and the “Académie de Port Royal” in Paris, she completed her training with the demanding master “Cyril Heck”.

From Frankfurt, to Vienna and Paris, her work is recognized and rewarded.

In 1996, she opened her own sculpture Studio in Châtillon, south of Paris, and took advantage of her close collaboration with the “Fonderie Clémenti” in Meudon to perfect her vocation, that of sculptress.

Her ability to sum up the characteristics of a sitter’s personality and to translate it into an art piece, accurately and often with a touch of humor, so as to create a true “portrait” of the person, explains why her busts have made her reputation, and earned her a number of awards.
She also explores other themes such as fruits, and more recently trees, in which she blends symbolic and figurative approaches.
